Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you
will be able to rest and approve what God's will is --His good, pleasing and
perfect will. Romans 12:2
The teachings of
our Lord embraces positive thinking, but reaches beyond thoughts to touch the
hidden possibilities of the Spirit.
When we face the
reality of situations in our lives, positive thinking can help up to a point, but a relationship with the living
Christ can do so much more.
Positive thinking
can only bring about limited solutions. Real change comes when you move past
thinking, to an unshakable trust of God's work in your life.
Positive thinking,
together with solid faith in the almighty Christ, is a creative fore that
enables you to live as God intended you to live --in victory and with joy.

was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile

Jesus was not just
"a good person," He was more than good. He was the personification of
perfection.
This breathtaking
truth is so overwhelming that we might even hesitate to approach the Lord. But,
if He is your Savior, there is no barrier that can separate you from Him.
Because of this, life becomes filled with fullness!
Read Ephesians
3:17-18, "So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I
pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together
with all the saints, to grasp ow wide and long and high and deep is the love of
Christ."
How privileged we
are, as God's children, to partake in His festival of love.

is no injustice or partiality or taking bribes with the Lord our God.” 8
Jehoshaphat also appointed in Jerusalem some of the Levites and priests and
some of the heads of the Israelite families for ⌊deciding⌋
the Lord’s will and for ⌊settling⌋ disputes of the residents of Jerusalem. 9 He
commanded them, saying, “In the fear of the Lord, with integrity, and with a
whole heart, you are to do the following: 10 for every dispute that comes to
you from your brothers who dwell in their cities—whether it regards differences
of bloodguilt, law, commandment, statutes, or judgments —you are to warn them,
so they will not incur guilt before the Lord and wrath will not come on you and

look, there’s a log in your eye? 5 Hypocrite! First take the log out of your eye, and then

Criticism should help people deepen their relationship
with God (Luke 17:3-5)
3 Be on your guard.
If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. 4 And if he
sins against you seven times in a day, and comes back to you seven times,
saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”5 The apostles said to the Lord,

Criticism should be given with a loving attitude

See, I have placed before you an open door that no
one can shut. Revelations 3:8
Constant grumbling
and drudgery makes life seem meaningless. It doesn’t take someone who lives
like this long to wilt intellectually and develop a negative, cynical attitude
towards life.
But Christ wants so
much more for us. Scripture, history and personal experience offer ample
testimony to the fact that an ordinary, seemingly meaningless life can be
transformed by the power of the living Christ and through His Holy Spirit.
This new life of
abundance that Christ offers you is yours for the taking. Turn to Christ and He
will open the door to a new meaningful life for you.

Many people harbor
anxiety because the future is unknown to them, and become pessimistic and
discouraged. We must constantly remind ourselves that life is extremely
precious, so that we don’t fall into the trap of depression.
Even if the future
seems bleak, you can be assured that your life and future are in God's hands.
God is in control of everything. There is joy in Christ because He is the Rock
on which you can build your life. His grace is sufficient to get you through each
day.
Seize this life and
live it in the abundance of Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior.

Desires - Dreams -
Goals - Expectations
All of these are
part of our everyday lives. Dreams generally begin with the desire of something
--buy a car, own a home, have a great paying job (profession). We have a
general idea of what it's going to take in order to achieve that dream. We
begin to set goals and expect to meet, or exceed our goals. This, however, may leave plenty of
room for disappointments (when things that we expect don’t quite happen)
Disappointments
lead to doubt and discouragement . Negative thoughts start to play in our head
--what if I'm not good enough, what if I fail, etc. When disappointment creeps
in, you should take it as the perfect opportunity to stand stronger. You don’t
quit! You don’t give up! Instead, you put forth more effort. You work harder.
You put your faith in God!
God knows your
dreams. You have to remember that anything is possible with God's assistance.
You and God make a perfect team. Put your faith in Him, and together you will
achieve your dreams.

of Light, for My radiance is all around you and also within you; it transforms
you inside and out. Remember that you were once darkness until My Spirit quickened
you to life, empowering you to live in My Holy Presence. Dwell on this blessed
remembrance until gratitude for My glorious grace wells up within you.
Trust Me to lead
you step by step through each day. I provide sufficient Light for only one day
at a time. If you try to look into the future, you will find yourself peering
into darkness: My face shines upon you only in the present! This is where you
find My gracious love that never fails you. Live ever so near Me --flourishing
in My transforming Light.

** Walk the Walk with Christ * November 18, 2013 * My Version Devotions **
The Lord will fight
for Me; I need only be still. He knows how weary I am, for I am His child. I
have been struggling just to keep my head above the water, and my strength is
running low. Now is the time for Me to stop striving and let God fight for Me. Though
this is not easy for me to do; and I feel as if I must keep struggling in order
to survive, He is calling me to rest in Him. He is working on My behalf; so I
need only be still and remember that He is God.
Quieting My body is
a somewhat challenging task, however stilling my mind seems downright
impossible. In my striving to feel secure, I rely too heavily on my own
thinking. My struggle to be in control has elevated my mind to a position of
autonomy. Therefore, I need the intervention of the Holy Spirit. I ask Spirit
to control my mind more and more --soothing me from the inside out as I take
the time to rest in the shadow of the Almighty while He fights for Me.
"Then He
replied, 'My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.' " Exodus 33:14
